Robin Coffelt
Teacher, Voice and Piano
Robin began singing at around 2 or 3 years old. Her mother was a violinist and singer and would sing Robin to sleep and teach her old songs. Robin sang in her first talent show at the age of 6 in Elementary school, where she sang “The Sun will Come out Tomorrow” from the Broadway musical Annie. As Robin grew up, she continued singing in her church choir and with her family.
From the age of 15-18 Robin participated in her high school choirs and completed in the Solo and Ensemble program for her school in Ohio. She received high ratings in each of her performances every year. At 16, Robin competed in the local High School singing competition, So You Think you Can Sing, and was awarded first place. She also competed in her high school talent show that year and placed first as well.
Robin’s first musical theatre experience was a community theater production of Les Miserables in which she played a chorus member. She then continued on to be in shows such as Xanadu, (supporting role) M*A*S*H*,(supporting role) and Beauty and the Beast (Belle).
At Snow College, Robin knows she has been able to develop and discover different parts of her voice under the direction of Susan Huff, Brian Stucki and Jenn Madsen. In the fall of 2023, Robin played the lead part of Pamina in Mozart’s opera The Magic Flute. In the spring of 2024, she played the lead part of Lily in the musical The Secret Garden.
When Robin isn’t practicing, she enjoys reading, going for walks in nature, trying new recipes, and spending time with her husband.
Robin is excited to be teaching with Skyline Music studios and hopes to help her students achieve whatever musical aspirations they have for themselves. She is passionate about helping her students develop healthy singing habits and explore a variety of styles as they grow in their musicianship.
